VANDERBIJLPARK - Paramedics say a 12-year-old girl was critically injured over the weekend when she was struck by a cash-in-transit vehicle at a Louis Trichard Boulevard intersection in Vanderbijlpark. ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 14:15 on Saturday to find the girl lying in the left-hand lane. The cash-in-transit vehicle was found parked a few metres away. Medics assessed the girl and found she sustained a serious head injury, leaving her in a critical condition. The girl was provided with several advanced life support interventions before she was transported to Sebokeng Provincial Hospital for urgent care. No-one from the cash-in-transit vehicle sustained any injuries. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
