A fatal motor vehicle collision on the R82 in De Deur

The Community Emergency Response Team’s Vaal crew responded to a motor vehicle collision on the R82 in De Deur, in the Vaal. CERT-SA says their Vaal crew arrived on the scene at around 21:40 Sunday night, where the ER24 and Gauteng Emergency Medical Services were attending to the scene. According to CERT-SA, two patients sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate while another patient, sadly succumbed to their injuries and was declared dead on the scene. CERT-SA says the exact circumstances leading up to the incident are not yet clear and the South African Police services have opened an accident investigation. CERT-SA thanked the Gauteng Emergency Medical Services, SharpMed Ambulance service , Midvaal Fire Department and South African Police Service for the assistance on the scene.
