A senior citizen kidnapped and killed in Vereeniging

VEREENIGING - The Vereeniging SAPS is investigating a case of kidnapping and murder of a 67-year-old woman who went missing last week Thursday. Sedibeng District Communication Officer, Captain Fikile Funda, says the woman was last seen driving her white Kia bakkie towards the R59. According to Funda a passerby saw a suspicious black refuse bag in Mcay Estates, Redan, last night at about 18:30. On further investigation a body of an elderly woman was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds to the head. Funda says a preliminary investigation indicates that it is the lady that was reported missing on Thursday, the 2nd of February.
