A shop belonging to a prominent businessman in the Vaal was bombed in Sebokeng.

The Sebokeng SAPS are searching for suspects after an ATM was bombed in Sebokeng Zone 13 in the early hours of Friday, 09 December 2022.

Gauteng Provincial Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo, said cops are on a manhunt for an unknown number of suspects.

According to the prominent business owner, George Mollo, about eight heavily armed men ambushed his shop in the early hours of the morning, bombing locks to his store in order to access an ATM.

Mollo said, after gaining access, the mob bombed the ATM, wracking the shop’s ceiling, doors and windows down and a lot of items in the store were severely damaged.

Mollo added that even though the black business owners try very hard to bring better things for the black, their businesses in the region are under heavy attacks.

The SAPS appealed to anyone who might have information that can help in the investigation to please call the nearest police station or Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
