An alleged stolen TLB tractor was found doing work at the Vereeniging taxi rank project.

The Sedibeng Flying squad found an alleged stolen TLB tractor, doing work at the Vereeniging taxi rank project, on Thursday afternoon, following a tip-off. This follows a day after Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi handed over the Vereeniging taxi rank project to Gautrain. According to the Sedibeng Ster, Vereeniging police spokesperson, Captain Fikile Funda confirmed that the tractor was discovered with a tampered chase number and without registration plates, and that it was confiscated. This comes after the Emfuleni Local Municipality lost one of its TLBs after being hijacked in Vanderbijlpark in recent months. The municipality is yet to confirm whether the discovered TLB in Vereeniging could be the one.
