Armed robber arrested in Vanderbijlpark

VANDERBIJLPARK - The Vanderbijlpark SAPS arrested an armed man last week who is linked to several cases of robbery. Vanderbijlpark CPF Sector 3 reports the man was spotted in the hotspot area where numerous robberies had taken place. Members of the SAPS Task Team executed a tactical take down and found a firearm with a magazine and ammunition on him. The suspect has been arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of illegal ammunition. According to CPF the firearm has been sent for forensic analysis to establish links with other crimes.
