Caxton withdraws from magazine publishing

VAAL TRIANGLE - Vaal Triangle and other SA magazine lovers are now facing the closure of at least 10 favourites due to financial difficulties. Caxton and CTP Publishers and Printers Limited yesterday announced that it has begun the process of withdrawing from magazine publishing and associated businesses. This means the closure of at least 10 magazines including Rooi Rose, Vrouekeur, Food & Home, Woman & Home, and People magazines. According to the board, the decision was brought on by the continuous reduction of advertisement revenue allocated to the magazine sector and the decline in circulation revenue which have been worsened by the negative impact of the lockdown. This announcement comes a week after Associated Media Publishing announced its permanent closure.
