CERT Parys called to attempted suicide

PARYS - CERT Parys and the Parys SAPS responded to an attempted suicide on Sunday at around 6pm. CERT Parys said in a statement they received a call from a neighbour claiming they saw a man hanging from a tree in the backyard. They cut the rope and started CPR on the 18-year old. CERT adds that on arrival the patient was breathing spontaneously and was hypoxic. The patient was transported to Parys Hospital in a serious condition for further care. A local chaplain will set up meetings to assist witnesses.
