Civil summonses issued for debt in South Africa has risen by 11%
VAAL TRIANGLE - Civil summonses issued for debt in the Vaal Triangle and South Africa has risen by just over 11% during the third quarter. Stats SA released data on debt and insolvency for the term. By far the largest positive contribution to the increase in civil summonses were for money lent, services and other debts. According to Stats SA, the number of civil judgments recorded for debt decreased by 4,1% when compared with the same time last year. The largest negative contributors to the decrease were civil judgments relating to goods sold, rent and other debts.
