Congested traffic movement in Vanderbijlpark fell to zero during hard lockdown

VAAL TRIANGLE - An international company that focuses on traffic movements has found that Cape Town was the most traffic-congested city in South Africa last year. The Inrix Traffic Scorecard shows that despite the effect of Covid-19, Cape Town still lost 29 hours in congestion, followed by Johannesburg on 23 and Pretoria on 25. Port Elizabeth and Pietermaritzburg were fourth and fifth. Vanderbijlpark and Welkom’s numbers both fell to zero. Bloemfontein also saw a sharp drop in traffic and experienced one hour lost in congestion for the year.
