DA announces Simon Mollo as its Mayoral candidate for Emfuleni municipality

VAAL TRIANGLE - The Democratic Alliance in Gauteng yesterday announced Dady Simon Mollo as its Mayoral candidate for Emfuleni Local Municipality. DA Gauteng Provincial Leader, Solly Msimanga MPL, alongside Regional leader, MP Dennis Ryder, introduced Mollo today at the Vaal Regional office in Three Rivers, Vereeniging. Before the event this afternoon, the DA’s Regional Support Services Officer, Gertruida Verster, said in a statement sent to 90.6 FM News that Emfuleni is one of the worst-performing municipalities in Gauteng. She said streets are overflowing with sewage, roads are riddled with potholes and service delivery is non-existent. In the past months, the DA has embarked on an intense campaign to gain support in Emfuleni and Verster says due to the overwhelming support they received from the community, the party decided to announce its Mayoral candidate for the municipality. She said this is to inform the people of Emfuleni about the candidate they will be voting for, to announce their plans for Emfuleni and how the DA plans to get things done.
