DA calls for investigation into Sedibeng’s top officials

VAAL TRIANGLE - The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng has called on the Gauteng MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), Lebogang Maile to urgently investigate allegations that Sedibeng top officials solicited a one-million rand bribe from Mafoko Security Patrols PTY (LTD). The DA’s Kingsol Chabalala says the party is in possession of a letter written by the Mafoko Security Patrol Regional Manager, Kgalaleo Frank Machete, who states that they are reporting Sedibeng officials. It is alleged that in April 2017 these officials held a meeting with members of Mafoko Security Patrols at Vereeniging Airport and then solicited a bribe of R1-million from Mafoko Security Patrols.
