DA criticizes contracts at Emfuleni

VAAL TRIANGLE - The DA in Gauteng says the Emfuleni Local Municipality has misled the Gauteng MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Lebogang Maile about taking legal action following allegations of the irregular extension of political appointees’ contracts in the mayor and council speaker’s offices. The DA’s Kingsol Chabalala says these appointments were made weeks before the local government elections which the DA objected to and requested Maile to investigate the matter.
