De Deur Primary wins Phendulani Literacy Quiz

LAKESIDE - Midvaal Libraries in collaboration with Sedibeng Department of Education, celebrated the annual Phendulani Literacy Quiz at Lakeside Library last week Friday. Midvaal Local Municipality said in a statement the aim of the quiz is to increase literacy knowledge, comprehension skills and critical thinking skills. The competition also aims to foster the love of reading and promote literacy amongst young learners. According to the municipality 6 schools from the Sedibeng district took part in the competition, and the 1st prize went to De Deur Primary School.
