Driver injured rolling taxi in residential area in Vanderbijlpark

VANDERBIJLPARK - A 36-year-old man has suffered moderate to serious injuries after allegedly losing control of his taxi van on a bend and rolling into a local resident’s fence, tree and parked vehicle in the Faraday Boulevard suburb of Vanderbijlpark yesterday morning. ER24 says one of their off-duty paramedic, who happened to live across the road, was getting ready for work when she heard a loud crash outside. She was on the scene at 5:30 to find the van mostly on the sidewalk, on its roof, up against a tree with the driver entrapped in an awkward position. The paramedic managed to extract the injured patient with some help, treating him with Advanced Life Support interventions before he was transported to hospital for further care.
