Education Department says school choirs are also suspended

VAAL TRIANGLE - The Department of Basic Education announced that all choir activities, like competitions and practice, are also suspended. This follows shortly after the Department announced earlier last week that all contact sports are immediately suspended due to an increase in COVID-19 cases. In a statement sent to school principals, governing bodies and education unions, choir activities are prohibited in order to try to combat the spread of COVID-19 in schools.
