Emergency water supply shutdown in parts of Vereeniging today

VEREENIGING - The Emfuleni Local Municipality just issued a notice that there is an emergency water supply shutdown affecting consumers in Three Rivers and Risiville today (28 September). ELM says this is due to emergency repairs of a leaking 350 mm main water pipeline in Blackwood Street since yesterday. Emfuleni says the water demand management team is currently on site working to restore water supply. However, the estimated time of restoration of water supply to affected areas is still unknown at this stage. The municipality will provide updates as water technicians provide further information. ELM apologised for the inconvenience. For more information, residents can contact the Metsi-a-Lekoa Customer Care centre on 062 932 9073.
