Emfuleni Mayor meets with Three Rivers residents

VEREENIGING - Emfuleni Local Municipality Executive Mayor, Councillor Gift Moerane, the Basic Services Lead Administrator, Silas Zimu, and a team of Executive Directors held a meeting with residents of Three Rivers yesterday. The gathering was called to find lasting solutions to ongoing electricity supply challenges in the area. Parts of the Three Rivers community have been experiencing power outages for 26 days due to a cable fault that led to damages in four substations in the area. Addressing the issue, Mayor Moerane acknowledged challenges the electrical department is facing in relation to the collapsing infrastructure in Emfuleni. The Mayor further assured affected residents that the municipality is doing all in its might to restore electricity supply by no later than tomorrow, the 9th of December.
