Emfuleni mayor puts pressure on the Municipal Manager to prove his qualifications

VAAL TRIANGLE - The Emfuleni Local Municipality’s Mayor Sipho Radebe has now exerted pressure on the Municipal Manager to bring his Matric Certificate copy. Emfuleni spokesperson, Lebo Mofokeng, said in a statement this follows media reports regarding allegations around the Municipal Manager, Lucky Leseane’s academic qualifications. Mofokeng says the mayor expressed concern about an interview conducted last week. Radebe said he can state confidently, without contradiction, that he is giving this matter the highest priority in order to prevent potential problems with service delivery. Radebe has since requested that Leseane submit all of the legal documents necessary for the position of Municipal Manager as promised to Council within the shorted period possible. Mofokeng said the media will be kept informed of any developments on this matter.
