Emfuleni mayor shattered at news of the passing of the executive mayor of Johannesburg

VANDERBIJLPARK - On behalf of Emfuleni Local Municipality, the executive Mayor Gift Moerane has sent his heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the executive mayor of Johannesburg, Jubilee Matongo. Matongo died in a car accident over the weekend. Moerane says Matongo was a product of the generation of Congress of South African Students (COSAS) and the early generation of the Soweto Student Congress (SOSCO). According to Moerane people have lost one of the country’s flag-bearers and the champion of the ANC transformation agenda to create a non-racial, non-sexist and democratic South Africa.
