Emfuleni resolves water shortage due to Eskom credit control measure

VAAL TRIANGLE - The Emfuleni Local Municipality says a water supply interruption due to a power supply curtailment imposed on Emfuleni by Eskom as a credit control measure, has since been resolved. Emfuleni says it has recently been occupied with challenges of power and water supply interruptions which affected areas like Evaton, Beverly Hills, Lakeside, Sebokeng, Roshnee, Rustervaal, Debonair park, Steel park, Sonland Park and Falcon Ridge, among others. However, it said the matter has since been resolved and payments done to Eskom. Water levels have been picking up overnight and are expected to return to normal by the end of business today. Emfuleni encouraged its communities to service their accounts and pay for services, and also do away with illegal connections as this affects the revenue of the municipality and Eskom. The municipality appealed for patience to affected consumers as reservoirs are slowly picking up and should soon be back to their maximum functionality. Affected consumers with full supply are encouraged to use water sparingly.
