Emfuleni’s municipal manager placed under suspension

VAAL TRIANGLE - Emfuleni Local Municipality municipal manager Lucky Leseane has been placed under suspension for undisclosed reasons. Mayoral spokesperson, Lebo Mofokeng, yesterday dismissed social media reports that Leseane was fired but said they wished to put it on record that he was not fired but was actually placed on leave pending a disciplinary hearing against him. Mofokeng said the Emfuleni Local Council in its sitting held on the 29th of July resolved to put him on precautionary suspension pending consideration of an investigation report into allegations of serious misconduct and poor performance. She did not disclose the contents of the allegations against him saying the report was confidential.
