Emfuleni working on Frikkie Meyer water pipe until tomorrow at 15:00

VANDERBIJLPARK - The Emfuleni Local Municipality issued a warning that water supply to the Vanderbijlpark reservoirs will be shut down this afternoon (17 September) at 15:00 until tomorrow (18 September) at 15:00. ELM says this is to repair a leaking 1000 mm bulk water pipeline in Frikkie Meyer Boulevard. The municipality said the shutdown will affect consumers in Vanderbijlpark, Bonanne, Boipatong, Tshirela, Bophelong, Bophelong Extensions and surrounding plots. However, it said Vanderbijlpark currently has sufficient water in its reservoirs to maintain supply for the duration of the shutdown. Affected consumers are advised to use water only for domestic consumption (drinking, cooking, bathroom) until repairs have been completed.
