Eskom cannot promise a Christmas without load shedding
VAAL TRIANGLE - Eskom says it cannot guarantee that South Africans will have power over Christmas as load shedding could become necessary at a moment’s notice. But spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha gives the assurance that load shedding will only be implemented if something went drastically wrong at a power plant. However, load reduction will continue in densely populated areas to protect the network from overloading. The provinces that could be hit are Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, the Free State and KwaZulu-Natal.
