Eskom implements Stage 3 loadshedding for the weekend

BREAKING NEWS - Eskom has announced that Stage 3 loadshedding will be implemented from 2 o’clock this afternoon until 5 o’clock on Monday morning. The power utility says this is due to the loss of an additional five generating units this morning. Thereafter, for the week ahead, Stage 2 loadshedding will be implemented continuously. Eskom spokesperson, Sikonathi Mantshantsha, says the additional loadshedding tonight is required to manage and recover the emergency generation reserves which have been utilised extensively over the past five days.
