Eskom implements Stage 2 loadshedding from 16:00 this afternoon

BREAKING: Eskom has announced that Stage 2 loadshedding will be implemented from 4 o’clock this afternoon until 5 o’clock tomorrow morning. The power utility says this is due to a shortage of generation capacity. Eskom spokesperson, Sikonathi Mantshantsha, says this afternoon a generation unit at Kusile power station tripped, adding to the constraints. Mantshantsha says a unit each at Matimba and Arnot power stations also failed to return to service as previously anticipated.
