Fatal crash near Sasolburg claims eight lives

SASOLBURG - A crash has claimed at least eight lives in the Free State. ER24 says a truck, a minibus, and a bakkie were involved in yesterday’s collision on the N1 between Sasolburg and Kroonstad. Several of the deceased were ejected from the taxi. Three people sustained serious injuries. Two patients were airlifted by two separate medical helicopters to a hospital in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng. The others were flown to a hospital on the West Rand.
