Father and two sons arrested for kidnapping a woman in the Vaal

VAAL TRIANGLE - Police in Sedibeng, Vaal Triangle, arrested a father and two of his sons last week for the alleged kidnapping of a 27-year-old woman. Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Netshiunda, said in a statement over the weekend this comes after police were informed that suspects attempted to hijack and kidnap two women in Sedibeng earlier this month (Thursday, 4 August) while they were driving in the Polokong area of the Vaal. Netshiunda says one woman was found along the N1 south on the same night and the hijacked vehicle was recovered. He says the search for the other woman ensued and she was rescued unharmed on Saturday, 06 August 2022, following a breakthrough in the case. Police arrested the suspects in Evaton West, Vaal Triangle, and confiscated a firearm and an undisclosed amount of money found at the premises. The three suspects, aged 45, 27 and 21-year-old was expected to appear before the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate's Court on Monday.
