Five injured in R57 Barrage Road taxi accident

VANDERBIJLPARK - Paramedics say five men were injured when a taxi crashed into the side of a security bakkie at the R57 Barrage Road and Currie Road intersection in Vanderbijlpark. ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 07:20 yesterday morning to find both vehicles in the middle of the road. Several people were found walking around on the scene. Medics assessed the patients and found that five male security officers had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no-one from the taxi sustained any injuries. The men were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Mediclinic Emfuleni Hospital for further care. The local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
