Gauteng's online admissions for 2021 Grade 1 and 8 learners to open on Thursday

VAAL TRIANGLE - Vaal Triangle and other Gauteng parents of children who will be in Grade 1 or 8 next year, can apply to schools from Thursday. The Gauteng Education MEC, Panyaza Lesufi, says the Admissions Online Application Period for Grade 1 and Grade 8 learners for the 2021 academic year will commence on Thursday and close on 25 July. Parents of all learners that are currently in Grade R and/or Grade 7 must apply by logging on to the Gauteng Department of Education’s Online Application platform. The Department has identified 34 decentralised walk-in centres for applicants who are unable to apply online. Department spokesperson, Steve Mabona, says after completing the application, parents will receive an SMS with information about the waiting list.
