Government is finalising its’ plan to allow Driving Licence eye tests at any optometrist

VAAL TRIANGLE - The Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula, says the Road Traffic Management Corporation is finalising an agreement with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. This would enable motorists applying for or renewing their Driver’s License cards, to do their eye tests at an optometrist of their choice. Mbalula tabled the Department’s budget vote during a mini-plenary of the National Assembly yesterday. He says this was part of several interventions aimed at improving the quality of service delivery at the Driving Licence Testing Centres.
