Hefty fines for not paying e-tolls

VAAL TRIANGLE - Thousands of Gauteng motorists who refuse to pay their e-tolls may find themselves being fined up to R4000 for failure to comply come July next year. Companies on the other hand may be fined R1000 for each transgression. This is according to the recent proposals made in the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences Act. In response, the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse has warned motorists to check for outstanding fines and enforcement orders to afford themselves the opportunity to challenge them.
