VAAL TRIANGLE - The first medical aid fund has announced its premium increase for 2021. In a statement, Medshield announced an average increase of 5,9% for members. This is much more than the recommendation of the Medical Schemes Board (RMS). The RMS recommended that premium increases be kept at 3,9% or even 0%. This is due to the prevailing economic situation in the country and consumers who are struggling to afford premiums.
