Netcare Vaalpark Hospital has no coronavirus cases

VAALPARK - Netcare Vaalpark Hospital yesterday confirmed that there are currently no patients in their hospital who have tested positively for COVID-19 coronavirus. This comes after reports from the Health Department that a person in the Free State has tested positive for the virus. However, Health minister Zweli Mkhize, has since the announcement revised the number of confirmed cases of the virus in the country from 17 to 16, after the Free State patient who initially tested positive was subsequently found to be negative. Hospital General Manager of Netcare Vaalpark Hospital, Nellie Koen, yesterday told 90.6 FM Stereo in a sent statement that they can assure the public they have implemented comprehensive measures to detect, identify and respond appropriately to any suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19 in their facility.
