New workplace regulations gazetted

VAAL TRIANGLE- Government has gazetted new regulations to try and curb the spread of the coronavirus in workplaces. Companies with more than 50 workers are now required to submit a record of its risk assessment, Covid-19 health and safety policy, and weekly reports about coronavirus developments. Workers diagnosed with the virus are only allowed to return to work after completing ten days of isolation. Companies also cannot threaten any action, including dismissal or discipline, against an employee who refuses to work for fear of contracting Covid-19.
