VANDERBIJLPARK - The Parkview motors service station in Vanderbijlpark has been temporarily closed after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19. According to a statement, the service station contracted a professional decontamination company to sanitize and deep clean the interior and exterior of the site. Vaalweekblad reports the service station said the affected employee is currently in self-quarantine and they have informed The National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) and the Department of Health. According to the service station, a contact tracing process supported by the NICD has immediately commented to identify all individuals who have been in close contact with the patient. All those who have had close contact with the patient are now in self-quarantine for 14 days. The service station will be reopened once it is safe to do so.
