SEBOKENG - Police Minister Bheki Cele says police officers supported by the SANDF will be out in full force this festive season to ensure that communities are safe. Minister Cele was speaking in Sebokeng in the Vaal Triangle, as part of the Safer Festive Season Inspection Roadshow. High-ranking police officials initiated the first leg of the annual festive season inspection in Sebokeng. These inspections, spanning all nine provinces, aims to assess law enforcement's readiness to handle crime during the holidays. Minister Bheki Cele addressed a multi-disciplinary parade where he told officers to stay vigilant during the festive season while they continue to keep communities safe. Vaal Journal reports he told officers to be hard on criminals that have been terrorizing communities in Gauteng. The Minister said that he hopes that everybody will behave so that they don't have communities who will complain of their presence.
