Police searching for family of deceased man found in Zamdela after New Year’s Eve hit-and-run

SASOLBURG - Police in Zamdela, Sasolburg, has called for community assistance in locating the next of kin of an unidentified man found near the Snake Park section. Police spokesperson, Constable Josephine Rani, said in a statement this comes after police were summoned to an alleged hit and run incident that left the man dead on December 31, last year. Rani says upon police's arrival at the scene, they found the unknown man, with dreadlocks estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old, lying next to the pavement. He was wearing a black leather jacket, black t-shirt, blue jean, brown belt and brown grass hopper shoes. Rani said the deceased had no identification documents on him. The police requests anyone who may know someone matching the person's description, or who has a missing family member matching the description, to contact Detective Constable Oupa Jhekemba on 078 576 2309.
