Police searching for info after woman’s body found in De Deur

DE DEUR - Police in the Vaal Triangle have appealed to members of the public to come forward with information after a woman's body was found in De Deur, Vaal Triangle. Police spokesperson, Maria Letsele, says the deceased body was discovered on a gravel road next to a Ford Ranger bakkie, of which the tires were stripped off. Letsele says the police were alerted by members of the community. She says an inquest docket has been opened, but the motive of the murder is unknown at this stage. This comes as police earlier this year warned motorists to avoid hitchhiking, as cases of car hijacking were on the rise in these areas.
