Sars extends the filing deadline for taxpayers

VAAL TRIANGLE - The South African Revenue Service has extended the tax filing deadline for provisional taxpayers from 29 January to 15 February. Sars has taken into consideration taxpayers who have lost loved ones, as well as businesses that have lost staff, during the devastating second wave of Covid-19. Sars commissioner Edward Kieswetter has warned, however, that failure to comply with their legal obligations and filing on time will result in administrative penalties being levied.
