Standard Bank customers also affected by double deductions

VAAL TRIANGLE - It seems that Standard Bank’s customers were also affected by the error that occurred at Nedbank’s checkout machines last week. Standard Bank informed their customers that the bank was aware of the double deductions made on customers’ debit and credit cards. This comes after Capitec Bank informed their customers on Friday that a technical issue happened in their system which caused double deductions to be made on the customers’ bank accounts. Standard Bank promised their customers that the transactions would be reversed within 48 hours.
