The SABS wants to establish national standards that guide the quality of vaping products

VAAL TRIANGLE - The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) wants to establish national standards that will guide the quality of vaping products and is preparing the groundwork for regulations which will govern these products. It’s estimated that about 350 000 South Africans, including many in the Vaal Triangle, use vaping products - with sales in 2019 recorded to be R.25-billion. According to SABS lead administrator, Jodi Scholtz, as the industry grows there should be standards which provide consumers with some assurance that these electronic devices and products are safe.
