Three workers die after a building collapse at ArcelorMittal’s plant in Vanderbijlpark

BREAKING NEWS: The National Union of Mineworkers of South Africa (NUMSA) has confirmed that three of its workers who were trapped at ArcelorMittal’s Vanderbijlpark operation, in Gauteng, have died. This comes after a building collapsed on top of them following an explosion at the facility early yesterday morning. NUMSA said in a statement this morning that it has called on the Department of Employment and Labour to embark on a detailed and thorough investigation into the cause of the incident.
