VAAL TRIANGLE - The newly announced WhatsApp policy continues to face criticism as false information continues to spread across the internet. The updated policy is believed to collect and share data with other Facebook companies while leaving users with little option to decide what information they want to give access to. The platform has moved to assure users that all personal chats will remain encrypted. Facebook Group’s training facilitator Kgosietsile Chris Martiens says the upgrade is not aimed at giving access to personal information. Martiens has also moved to clarify misinformation regarding the storing of banking details on the App stating that this relates to Facebook Pay which is only available in India and Brazil.
