Vaal Triangle residents urged not to cancel medical aids

VAAL TRIANGLE - With many residents in the Vaal Triangle faced with retrenchments and salary cuts, consumers are urged to think beyond the COVID-19 outbreak before making major financial decisions. According to experts, many South Africans are likely to consider cancelling their medical aid and gap cover as the state of their finances worsen. But experts have advised consumers to consider options like making premiums cheaper, before cancelling their cover totally. Health insurance expert, Tony Singleton says the key thing is to involve financial advisers in assisting residents, as they will be able to provide a number of alternatives.
