Vanderbijlpark police station closed for decontamination after COVID-19 cases

VANDERBIJLPARK - The Vanderbijlpark police station is currently closed as the building is reportedly being decontaminated after some of the police members tested positive for COVID-19. According to reports, the station was expected to be closed from 13:00 this afternoon until 01:00 tomorrow, June 25, so that the station can be disinfected. Sedibeng Ster quoted an anonymous source that says at least 10 officers at the Vanderbijlpark police station tested positive for Covid-19. A spokesman for the police headquarters, Col. Noxolo Kweza, confirmed to the Sedibeng Ster that the station will be closed today. However, Kweza said they can confirm that the police station will be closed for decontamination, but unfortunately, they cannot confirm how many officers tested positive for Covid-19.
