Vanderbijlpark SAPS searching for fraud suspect who disappeared after scamming a victim

VANDERBIJLPARK - Since 2017, the Vanderbijlpark SAPS has been searching for a fraud suspect who disappeared with stolen money, and has now urged to public to assist. Police spokesperson, Sergeant Gertrude Makhale, last week said in a statement it is alleged that Percy Dube approached his victim as a consultant and convinced the victim to invest in an asset company on 13 November 2017. The victim registered as an investor and lot of cash was deposited into the so-called investment company. However, the money was allegedly not deposited to the investment company’s account but to the suspect’s account. Makhale said Dube disappeared with a big amount of cash and is nowhere to be found. She said it is also alleged that the suspect was not even an employee of the Investment Company anymore and was working in his own capacity. Makhale said the police are looking for Mr. Dube pertaining to the fraud case. Anyone with information on his whereabouts are urged to contact the Investigating Officer, D/Sgt. Magampa on 072 559 2956 / (016) 910-9100.
