Vanderbijlpark SAPS searching for man who was allegedly with woman before fatal accident

VANDERBIJLPARK - The Vanderbijlpark SAPS is searching for a Nigerian citizen who was with a woman when she died in a serious accident in Vanderbijlpark earlier this year. Police spokesperson, Sergeant Gertrude Makhale, this week said in a statement the incident occurred on Saturday, 7 March 2020, at around 17:30 pm. Police were called to the scene where a white Audi A5 hit the curb, collided with Emfuleni Municipality’s palisades and rolled. Makhale said Hendrika Ehlers lost her life in the accident. According to Makhale it is alleged that the deceased lost control of her vehicle before the accident. Edmond Ndeye known as “Eddie”, who Makhale says is a Nigerian citizen, was allegedly with Ehlers in the vehicle when the accident occurred. The SAPS is searching for Eddie and urged anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward and assist with the investigation. Makhale said they are investigating a culpable homicide case and are urgently in need of witnesses for investigation purposes. Contact Detective Warrant Officer Booyens at 074 677 8131.
