Vanderbijlpark SAPS searching for person missing for more than a year now

VANDERBIJLPARK - The Vanderbijlpark SAPS says it is investigating a missing person case following the disappearance of the 41-year-old Sabata Petrus Pepenene. Police spokesperson, Sergeant Gertrude Makhale, yesterday said in a statement he was last seen on the 5th of March 2020 by his mother in Bophelong Ext 12. He left his mother’s residential place saying he is going to Cape Town. Makhale said it is alleged that Pepenene usually would go missing for few months then come back home, but this time around he didn’t come back and it’s been a year now that he is missing. His whereabouts is unknown at this stage. He was last seen wearing a black jersey, black trouser and black boots. Makhale also said it is alleged that Mr. Pepenene is slightly mentally disturbed. She said after he left his mother house, his mother tried to call him but his phone was answered by an unknown male voice. Police have searched everywhere for Mr Pepenene to no success.
