Vanderbijlpark SAPS still searching for missing 20-year-old who ran away from home

VANDERBIJLPARK - The Vanderbijlpark SAPS yesterday confirmed in an email to the 90.6 FM News Team that the missing 20-year-old Samkelo Khumalo has still not been found. Police spokesperson, Sergeant Gertrude Makhale, last month said in a statement Khumalo, who lives in General Froneman Street, SE 7, Vanderbijlpark, Vaal Triangle, was reportedly last seen on December 2, 2019. He left a note that he was leaving, but did not stipulate his whereabouts and has still not returned home. Makhale said efforts by police to search for him at relatives and friends were unsuccessful. She said police investigations into the missing person case are still continuing and by yesterday, Khumalo had still not been found. Makhale urged anyone with information that can assist the police to find the missing boy to contact Detective Captain Sibongile Mthunzi on 079 525 1425 or (016) 910 9046. Alternatively, they can contact the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or visit the nearest police station. PHOTO: (Vanderbijlpark SAPS)
